District 13 Legislators Town Hall Meeting Thursday 4/26

Senator Joe Kyrillos, Assemblyman Sam Thompson and Assemblywoman Amy Handlin (R-13) are hosting a town meeting this Thursday April 26, 2007 at 7:30 PM at the Middletown High School North Auditorium, 63 Tindall Road, Middletown, featuring United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey Christopher Christie.
The town meeting will offer members of the public a chance to speak with their 13th District representatives, as well as with the United States Attorney. There will also be an opportunity for questions from the public.
The United States Attorney will be discussing the actions his office has taken to protect children and neighborhoods from drugs, gang violence; to combat terrorism and ensure homeland security; to fight white collar crime; and to once and for all show that the people of New Jersey will no longer stand for public corruption.

Dear fellow Republicans:
I wanted to thank Moderator Steve McEnery, and our candidates Sean Kean, David Rible, Mary Pat Angelini, Caroline Casagrande, Declan O’Scanlon, County Clerk Claire French, Sheriff candidate Kim Guadagno, Freeholder Robert Clifton, and Freeholder candidate Jeff Cantor for their outstanding work at the first two listening tour stops. But most of all, I wanted to thank the hard working, Republicans-of-good-will who helped make these events a tremendous success.
The need for candidates to advocate for pension reform, spending cuts, and ethical conduct in government rang out loud and clear. Now it is your turn to be heard, and help this party shape our 2007 campaign platform. The candidates are ready to listen. Help us to chart our course forward. The next meeting is April 28. I hope to see you there!

This week, our next Sheriff, Kim Guadagno, and our Freeholder Rob Clifton and Freeholder Candidate Jeff Cantor were among the first politicians across New Jersey to join FM radio Jersey 101.5 talk show hosts “The Jersey Guys” in their coalition against public corruption. I say among the first, because they were only second to Monmouth County’s own Assemblywomen Amy Handlin, Jennifer Beck, and the great Senator Joe Kyrillos – the first New Jersey leaders to sign on to this coalition.
The “Coalition Against Corrupt Politicians” will unveil an information program for the people of New Jersey to report politicians taking part in despicable acts such as bribery, fraud, pension padding, nepotism, cronyism and other mischievous acts.
Now it is your turn. I am asking every municipal candidate for mayor and town council to sign on to this noble cause, so that the Monmouth County Republicans are the first party in the state – from top of ticket to bottom – that pledges zero tolerance for public corruption.
