Wishing you a prosperous and sweet Rosh Hashanah
A "Wireside Chat" from Chairman Adam Puharic
9/21/2006
Dear fellow Republicans:
Tomorrow begins the celebration of Rosh Hashanah for our Jewish friends and neighbors. Rosh Hashanah is commonly known as the Jewish New Year. I wanted to extend best wishes on behalf of Rosemarie Peters, Andrew Lucas, and Freeholder Anna Little.
A popular observance during this holiday is eating apples dipped in honey, a symbol of the wish for a sweet new year. I’m wishing you and your family a bushel full of apples, and a pot full of honey. I know you agree that in Monmouth County, we have been blessed to enjoy prosperity and freedom, in one of the most beautiful places on earth. May the new year bring us all sweetness and prosperity.
