Our new Sheriff candidate, Kim Guadagno will bring a new approach to the administrative operation of the best Sheriff’s department in the State and perhaps the Country.

This year the Republican have returned to our long-held tradition of choosing candidates through a process of screening candidates. Employing a screening committee will help to insure that their selection will stand up to public scrutiny and prove themselves leaders and role models for the residents of Monmouth County. We’ve updated the process to be more transparent and inclusive.
The screening committee was made up of Constitutional Officers, elected Legislators and municipal Chairman from both large and small municipalities. I want to thank these 24 individuals for the days they took out of there personal lives to of read resumes and listen to presentations by a distinguished group of applicants.
The democratic process exercised today, by the County Committee, in choosing these candidates demonstrates the finest example set by our Founding Fathers. Not everyone will be happy in a democracy, but we have all had an opportunity to be heard and will now pull together and work toward Republican victory in November.
I look forward to announcing our 2007 Monmouth County Republican Party Primary winners in June.
